About Me
I moved into City Walk in 2006 in order to minimize my commute. Instead of living 40 miles away from the office I was now just 2 miles away. Besides being close to work I wanted access to a laundry room (ideally free and on the same floor as my unit); an exercise room in the building; assigned & sheltered parking; and I wanted to be on the skyway system. City Walk meet all my requirements and it was affordable. As one longtime resident told me while I was looking, "City Walk is a nice middle class building." I enjoy seeing the sunsets all year from my unit and the pool in the summer. I still have a house 40 miles south of St. Paul; City Walk is "my place Up North."
I'm retired but until 2017 I worked for the American Red Cross's blood services. I was responsible for finding blood drive sponsors and meeting a collection goal. It was basically a sales manager job. I still volunteer for the Red Cross because I believe strongly in its life-saving mission but now I co-manage one blood drive a month instead of one a day.
Prior to working for the Red Cross I worked for an industrial chemical distribution company. I was a sales manager for 5 years and sold hazardous waste disposal services for 15 years.
My husband is a freelance mathematician who's particularly interested in mathematical puzzles, games and art.
